Professional Care You Can Trust
We Provide Care
Hill House Nursing Home is a superior 43 bedded nursing home located in Brixham, South Devon and is registered under the Health and Social Care Act 2008 by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Our main focus is to maintain the highest standards in care delivery and to develop further through local and national initiatives and up to date practice.
The service we provide is personalised, where residents are involved in the planning of their care needs and have a choice of how they wish to live at the Home which is paramount for their well-being and fulfilment of life.
Hill House offers accommodation for people requiring short or long term care, respite, rehabilitation and specialising in palliative care. Our main focus of care is for older people of all genders who have nursing needs, physical disabilities and for those who may have age related mental health needs associated with a primary disability. We can cater for people who are under the age of 65 subject to a pre-assessment of needs as it is our aim to meet all our residents’ health and social needs.

Family and visitors are welcome to visit at any time and we encourage you to take part in our activities and events with your loved one.
Our qualified and experienced staff provide round the clock care to cope with all our residents' needs
We encourage and support our staff to take extra training, whether that is vocational training (NVQs) or specialised aspects of care. We have experience in specialist areas such as palliative care, epilepsy, head/brain injuries, Huntingdon’s disease, Motor Neurone disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, strokes, visual, hearing and speech impairment.
Residents are encouraged to use our extra services
We encourage our residents to take advantage of our visiting chiropodist, optician, dentist, hairdresser or speech therapist as needed. For those looking for a little relaxation, we offer beneficial aromatherapy and massage therapies.
Our large, beautifully landscaped garden includes flower beds and sensory areas that residents can appreciate throughout the year. On our large patio area, we enjoy summer BBQs right through to light gardening projects for our more ‘green fingered’ residents.
Most of our residents come from the nearby areas in Devon so to ensure they remain part of the local community, we encourage visits from local entertainers and groups, local schools and clergy.
We are always willing and happy to assist
We welcome residents who are looking for convalescent and respite care. For those unsure how to fund their short or long-
